•••••Welcome to the Wyomissing Area Jr/Sr High School Technology Education Department. You will be introduced to three areas of technology: Communication, Production (Mfg. & Construction), and Transportation. Through hands-on activities and assignments, class discussions, work sheets, tests, and out of class work, you will learn about technology and how it affects you, your family, and your surroundings. You will create an All About Me video project using Apple Mac Pro computers, OSX, iLife software, as well as learn how to use a scanner, digital camera, edit photos in Photoshop and more. You will work in the Wyo5Live TV studio and learn how to properly operate the SD & HD video cameras and audio equipment. You will design, build, test, and race a cardboard race car while you are a student in Exploring Technology. You will be working alone and working on a team, as you learn about technology. Your creativity and problem solving skills will be required throughout the entire class.

•••••For our class to be educational, exciting, interesting, and fun, you will have to be sure you are prepared for class and participate in discussions and activities. You will try your best and produce assignments (projects/design briefs) of superior quality and complete all assignments on time. You need to treat others with respect as well as the equipment in class. You will be required to abide by all of the schools rules and have your agenda book, class work, and ID with you at all times.
